ICANN 35th meeting was held in Sydney over June 21-26, 2009. It was actually the winter time in the Southern hemisphere. Prof. Hong Xue, who is on the ICANN Nomination Committee as the sole and "genuine" Asian, attended the week-long meeting. In the first half, Hong was busy with the ALAC policy drafting to criticize the IP Grab approach in the IRT Report. Meanwhile, she manged to interview all the candidates allocated in her deep diving pool. The second half was full of the NomCom meetings. It was a very hectic week.
